Phillipa practiced as a Solicitor for three years before being called to the Bar in 1996. She has had a general civil practice and has appeared in many jurisdictions both Federal and State. She has been briefed in, inter alia Commercial /Corporate, Wills and Probate, Family Law, Mental Health and Guardianship and Administrative Law.

Derrick v Cheung (2001) 181 ALR 301, (2001) 33 MVR 393 - Common Law - motor vehicle accident. She was led by John Hislop QC (as he then was).

Gerard Cassegrain & Co Pty Ltd v Cassegrain and Others  (2013) 87 NSWLR 284, [2013] NSWCA 453 - Real Property Act s118, s42. Indefeasible title, fraud, Torrens System.  She was led by F. Gleeson SC (as he then was).

Cassegrain and Others v Gerard Cassegrain & Co Pty Ltd  (2012) 88 ACSR 358 - Numerous commercial issues.

Qantas Airways Ltd v Gama (2008) 247 ALR 2073, (2008) 167 FCR 537 - Disability and racial discrimination.  She appeared for the applicant. HREOC also joined as an interested party in the appeal. Inter alia, the decision dealt with the question of whether Briginshaw should be applied in discrimination matters.

Owners of Strata Plan No. 23007 v Cross (2006) 153 FCR 398, (2006) 233 ALR 296 - Bankruptcy - rules of service of a bankruptcy petition on a person with a psychiatric disability.

Gloucester Shire Council v McLenaghan (2000) 109 LGERA 419, (2000) 31 MVR 340 - Highways, negligence and nuisance, injuries to users of highways, liability of highway authority, misfeasance.

Extensive experience in Wills and Probate (succession) dealing for both the plaintiff and the Estates. These Estates have ranged from $250,000 up to $40 million.
